Environment and Site

The house is situated in the Dominican Republic on the peninsula Samana with its fantastic and partly unspoilt beaches and bays. In the dreamy fishing village Las Galeras, not far away from the small towns of Samana, Sanchez, Las Terrenas and the so-called Bacardi island Cayo Levantado.

In the vicinity are various shopping possibilities and restaurants, as well as several, partly still almost untouched beaches and bays. To the lively city centre of Las Galeras it is only 2,000 metres and up to the city of Samana it is only approx. 20 km. At the moment because of the construction of the new water supply the slightly damaged communication road will be shortly developed similar to a highway (like the new "Autopista Samana - Santo Domingo"), and offers thus a quick connection to Samana and Las Terrenas.

Also to the towns Nagua, Cabrera, Rio San Juan, Cabarete, Sosua, Puerto Plata and Monte Christi there is a direct, well developed road link. And through the new, already mentioned highway "Samana - Santo Domingo" you also get quickly to the south coast, no matter whether to reach the capital or Boca Chica, San Pedro, La Romana and Bavaro Punta Cana in the east of the coast or Bani, Azua and Barahona in the west.
